Who We Would Like To Take Out For Dinner at Le Web: And Where We Would Take Them

The list of speakers for next month’s Le Web Paris reads like a Who’s Who of influential Internet personalities. The amount of ingenuity, resourcefulness and business savvy that will be on display at the event is nothing short of staggering. It will be an absolute thrill to be in attendance. All we wish is that after they give their talks we could pick their brains more, in the best way we know how–over dinner! So, just in case any of them may be reading this, here’s our list of the Top 5 Le Web speakers we want to take out to dinner and where we would take them.

1) Eric Shmidt, Google

To impress the executive chairman of Google, we have to find a pretty under-the-radar spot. After all, there’s not much he can’t find. Well, lucky for him, we know just such a spot…Sassotondo

2) Sean Parker, Founders Fund

Sean Parker has been a part of everything it seems! From Napster to Facebook, he has consistently broken new ground on the Internet. We suspect that a man who has successfully navigated so many pioneering startups would appreciate a new restaurant just getting its own start. That’s why we would take Sean to Verjus.

3) Kevin Systrom, Instagram

Oh, Instagram. Instant nostalgia. The app gives your iPhone the ability to take any picture and make it look like an aged relic of some forgotten time. So of course, we would take Kevin somewhere timeless. A classic of Parisian cuisine is Le Chateaubriand.

4) Daniel Ek, Spotify

We are willing to bet that Daniel appreciates good music. And for live music in Paris, it doesn’t get better than…L’Etage!

5) Mike McCue, Flipbook

An information junkie and social news visionary like Mike probably wants to be where all the action is. If this was Paris in the 1920’s, we imagine you would find him right next to Hemingway, in the thick of the conversation. So why not take him to Café de Flore, the legendary haunt of Hemingway and the rest of the modernist literati?
