The technology creates highly personalized product and recipe recommendations that aim to answer a simple question, ‘What should I buy and eat today?’. The result is a dramatically simplified process for discovering groceries. Recommendations are generated by mathematical modeling based on the usage patterns of the user and the neighboring community and family. Users can express themselves by liking products and recipes which Foodie.fm remembers and uses to create a personal taste profile. Artificial intelligence is then applied to match products to recipes which simplifies the discovery of new products.
Kalle Koutajoki - CEO, co-founderKalle Koutajoki is an operational strategist with vast experience in international software business, online marketing and CRM on both B2C and B2B segments. Kalle holds a Master of Science in Engineering and has acted in various positions in marketing, operational management and sales. In the past Kalle has acted as a VP Marketing & Operations for Navicore Ltd. as well as VP eCommerce for the publicly listed Wayfinder Systems. Prior joining Foodie Kalle ran the eCommerce team at Wayfinder with full profit and loss responsibility as well as worked as the General Manager of Wayfinder Systems Oy, a subsidiary for Wayfinder Systems Group.
Samuli Mattila - VP Products, co-founderSamuli Mattila is a hands-on manager and serial entrepreneur who has years of experience of international software business, product marketing and development. He has held various positions in R&D, marketing, product management and business management. Samuli was one of the founders and a long term VP Products at Navicore Ltd. Prior Navicore Samuli was creating SSH Communications and part of its successful exit through IPO. Before joining Foodie Samuli headed development of content services at Nokia Corp.
